BBB Gets a Naming Upgrade

Day one of the Bikes, Beers, Bros Tour took place yesterday to rave reviews. Those reviews were by me and the six other bicycle loving brethren; all six of whom woke up in New England where they call home on Wednesday, worked their respective jobs, jumped on board an aero-plane, flew to the other side of the country, and jump started day one of this multi-day super duper adventure tour based out of Bodega Bay, CA on just 4 hours of sleep. After this beautiful day one, there's still 75% more riding on tap.   Meanwhile, I have been here in lovely California for a bit over a week now doing all types of projects from heroically garnering money for the Napa Bicycle Coalition to learning about how technology should be incorporated into the economy, and vice versa. Among other things, I visited Strava HQ Wednesday morning (while my cycling comrades of BBB were heroically working back east) for an #AMA which was live periscoped to the world. I received great compliments on my Wizard of Oz-Dorthy-like emerald red New Balance shoes -- "on point" they said -- and perhaps better yet, there was a poll around the office and they came back with an even better name than Beer, Bikes, and Bros: Beer and Ted's Excellent Adventure.Genius.This Tour is brought to you by the great folks at Lagunitas. Not only do they put the pub in public radio, they put the beer in Beer and Ted's Excellent Adventure... plus in the fridge in which we are based. thumb_IMG_4413_1024 This merry band of bicycle lovin', beer drinkin' gentlemen are actually members of the Lagunitas SuperElite Yet Not Quite Pro Cycling Team out of New Hampshire. How do you know they're elite? Because they ride lightning fast and have twitter. So with Lagunitas located here in Petaluma, CA it was time to visit the HQ and learn a thing or two. He were are at a board meeting -- and the board refers to the long, flat piece of wood on which my New Balance clad feet are propped as we guzzle recovery beers in the employee lounge. thumb_IMG_4490_1024 Big day on the bikes too, with just shy of 100 miles ridden. Here's a smattering of what made it great.
Time to go ride day 2.
