So, like, this is really a thing

Ahoy Sailors!#600NotOn100, Version 1.0 hasn't even left the port and it's already taken a slight detour. But fret not, friends, it'll still be 600 miles long and it's only gone on to include more excellence! Here's what we've got.Days one, two, and three are fairly straight forward. They'll be very The Coast Ride'esque, although we're starting in Mill Valley rather than the big city of San Francisco. Ergo, on day one we'll venture over the photographic Golden Gate Bridge and onward south. Somewhere along the way, we'll intercept my 2017 teammate on la squad Los Conquistadors, Laurens Ten Dam, somewhere around Santa Cruz and escort him onward down south to Monterey where we rest for the evening.screen-shot-2016-10-26-at-12-32-43-pm Day two is a long long long poke down memory lane... as much as it is a long poke down Highway One to San Luis Obispo. Basically as long as we keep the ocean to rider's right, we should be good.screen-shot-2016-10-26-at-12-32-55-pmDay three seems a good time to venture off road. So everything you see east of Santa Maria and then towards the mountains east of Lompoc/south of Solvang we'll shred the gnar.screen-shot-2016-10-26-at-12-35-57-pmDay 4 is something of a transfer stage at only 90-some-odd kilometers. Herein lies the detour, as we continue along south but then jut inland to Thousand Oaks. Why Thousand Oaks? Because the following day, with my 28lb saddlebag, we'll join the Nosco Ride. What's the Nosco Ride? See Day 5 and find out.screen-shot-2016-10-26-at-12-33-14-pmWelcome to day 5! You'll notice that this appears to be a circuit and you'd be correct in that observation. Today is the Mike Nosco Ride and I've been trying to do it for years. Conveniently I have good friends in the area and a place to rest my head and a reason to join the Nosco ride as I travel south to San Diego (which is rumored to be German for a whale's... oh never mind).screen-shot-2016-10-26-at-12-33-35-pm From there I just might throw my thumb in the air and hitch a ride, because remember this is all a trip to get to San Diego in order to build a home for Hope Sports in Rosarito, Mexico and I need to be there by Friday. In any event, there you have the updated happenings, my friends. Stay apprised to #600noton100 on various social media and you'll see our intrepid group venturing south. We'd love if you joined for any part of it. A mile or hundred, just know that it's self-supported and going to be nothing but fun.Meeting adjourned.
