Type “what is masterclass” into your favorite search tool and you’re met with something like this: MasterClass is an online learning platform where world-renowned experts teach their craft through video courses. These courses are designed to be intimate and engaging, providing students with a deep dive into the techniques and philosophies of their instructors. The platform offers a wide range of subjects, from culinary arts and business to writing and music. 

…and cycling.

I have enjoyed lots of conversations with my tire sponsor, Jan Heine of Rene Herse, over the years. Most of those talks revolve around speed, how to get more of it, and what others are doing to push the envelope of speed. In related news, it’s been recently show-stopping headlines that wide tires are fast. (Here and here.) On the Topic of Speed

Not new to the world, but new to me, I wanted to try out telemetric overlay on top of race footage. You can see the opening miles of Life Time Grand Prix race at the Sea Otter gravel race below. Of note is just how freaking fast the race is right from the get-go. Nothing earth shattering at this point, but it’s a reminder that VO2 work is more than just important. Thanks for watching!
